Osteopathy can benefit children and adolescents in all stages during their development. Falls from trees, sports injuries, growing pains and emotional stress/anxiety from social media pressure are common reasons why parents bring in their children for osteopathic treatment. The body’s inherent drive towards health and balance (homeostasis) is very strong in young people and they often respond quickly to treatment. Treatment itself generally involves gentle techniques which aim to release tension, improve mobility and optimise function. Susann is happy to refer to a Paediatrician if she has any concern that something needs further investigation.
